TRK is known as the center of French culture in Los Angeles, but not only, proudly rooted in Los Angeles for the last 23 years, it also presents prolific local artists like Deborah Brockus and her company BrockusRED. Labeled ‘the single most important person in Southland dance” an “impresario”, ‘ the mother superior of LA dance” and ”tireless” by the Los Angeles Times, Deborah Brockus is renowned for her involvement in establishing the local dance scene as a producer, choreographer, and teacher.

In this artistically minded ensemble of extractions from longer pieces, put together especially for TRK, Brockus uses visual art and literature as a source of inspiration for her movement, composition, and aesthetic. Sources of inspiration include poetry, works from the Louvre, sculpture (The Borghese Dancers), and painting (The Gleaners by Jean-François Millet) to name a few. Translating the visual language of art into a kinesthetic experience, Brockus takes audiences on a journey that ends in joy.
