The Unusual Suspects

The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company is a nonprofit arts education organization that provides tuition-free, year-long programs for LA youth rooted in storytelling, live performance, and creative expression. By breaking down barriers to arts access, The Unusual Suspects transforms school stages, community spaces, and juvenile justice facilities into platforms for powerful, original work created by young artists themselves. What began in 1993 as a single program now reaches over 3,000 youth and families across Los Angeles County each year, helping a new generation share their stories—and be heard.
