An internationally renowned performing arts school located in the cultural corridor of downtown Los Angeles, the Colburn School provides the highest quality music and dance education to students at all levels of development, from those about to embark on professional careers to students just beginning their artistic journey.
The School is made up of four faculty: the Community School of Performing Arts, the Colburn Conservatory of Music, the Music Academy, and the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute.
Performances on campus and throughout Southern California develop young artists and welcome audiences with over 300 performances each year. Celebrated faculty, guest artists, and alumni regularly perform alongside students throughout the year during a performance season that features orchestra, chamber, dance, jazz, and more.
