With twenty musical numbers in under 80 minutes with a luminous Lena Horne at the helm, and an all-Black cast of some of the most electric performers of the 1930s and 40s – including the endlessly entertaining Cab Calloway and Fats Waller, Stormy Weather has got rhythm, showmanship, and sizzle in spades! Loosely based on the life of its star Bill “Mr. Bojangles” Robinson, this toe-tapping festivity tells the story of two struggling performers that fall in love, but lose contact after hitting the big time. When a musical stage show offers the chance for reconciliation, it’s time for Bill to make his move and woo his lady love with a song. Not perfect in all its dated depictions, there’s no denying this massively entertaining celebration of Black Musical Magic!

Box office is open 90 minutes before showtime. Our video store is open daily and available to hang out in before and after most shows, depending on the showtime.
