Vidiots is excited to welcome writer/director Peter Sollett, screenwriter Eva Vives, and cast member Melonie Díaz for a special screening of the coming-of-age classic Raising Victor Vargas!

A warm, funny, and intimate look at growing up and getting down on the Lower East Side, this coming-of-age classic is an undeniable treasure of indie cinema. Victor, a horny Lower East Side Dominican teenager, deals with his eccentric family and tries to solidify himself as a ladies man, but strikes out with everyone but the big girls. When he sets his sights on his beautiful neighbor Judy, he’s got to compete with his whole Manhattan neighborhood. A charming and hilarious portrait of youth that strays from the expected tropes, this all-too-relatable East Side delight is ripe for rediscovery!
