Put yourself right in the middle of the creative process. During this year’s iambic lab, we’re going deep on three works-in-progress, all springing from the imagination of Indie Shakes ensemble members.
Each project receives funded rehearsal hours, and will be shown to the public over two presentations-wherever it is in the creative process. You’ll be able to talk with the creators, and experience the thrill of being part of a creative project at its earliest stages.
iambic lab* is our annual celebration and exploration of theater. The iamb is the smallest piece of the verse form, iambic pentameter, and the fundamental building block of Shakespeare’s works. iambic lab is our building block: a time dedicated to trying out performance techniques and forms, old & new works, and exploration without expectation.
