Vidiots remembers the life and legacy of the incredible Sam Neill with an especially heartwarming screening of Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

Nature just got gangster! Young actor Julian Dennison gives a masterful Oscar-worthy performance in Taika Waititi’s hilarious and enormously entertaining magical-realism backwoods saga Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Raised on hip-hop and foster care, defiant delinquent Ricky (Dennison) gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countryside with the loving Aunt Bella, the ornery Uncle Hec (Sam Neill) and dog Tupac. When a tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush. Upon a national manhunt, the outlaws must face their options: go out in a blaze of glory or overcome their differences and survive as a family. Triumphant, touching, surreal and just about perfect.

Box office is open 90 minutes before showtime. Our video store is open daily and available to hang out in before and after most shows, depending on the showtime.
