Science fiction and social satire blend in this brilliant commentary on xenophobia and Apartheid, cloaked in the guise of a highly entertaining extraterrestrial action film. Thirty years after a group of malnourished aliens arrive on Earth as a last refuge, they are all segregated away from humans in a South African internment camp while the government runs inhumane tests on them and tries to steal their technology. When a company field agent contracts a mysterious virus that begins to alter his DNA, there is only one place he can hide: District 9. Now part-man, part alien, he is out to expose the government’s treatment of the aliens and fight for beings from all planets.

Box office is open 90 minutes before showtime. Our video store is open daily and available to hang out in before and after most shows, depending on the showtime.
